Sony expand the smartphone market to lower-middle segment, with the release of the Xperia Tipo on Monday (7/30/2012). This is the cheapest Android smartphone made by Sony, which sold at a price of USD 1.549 million.
With a relatively low price, Sony tried to woo users who still use the phone feature to switch to a smartphone. Moreover, the Xperia Tipo has been put on the operating system Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Xperia Tipo also rely xLoud speakers, 3.2 MP camera, VGA front camera, and a 1500mAh battery that Sony claims can last for 24 hours.
